Lough Nafooey & Joyce Country

Where Culture Meets Adventure!

Lough Nafooey, also Loch Na Fooey, Loch NaFooey and in Irish (as gaeilge: Loch na Fuaiche, meaning “Lake of the winnowing winds” or “grave-shaped lake”) is a rectangular shaped glacial lake in County Galway, with the north-eastern shore lying along the border to County Mayo.

Baa Fleadh takes place at this locality and in the surrounding valleys annually on the May bank holiday weekend. Come join us!

You can also visit Lough NaFooey and the hidden valley, and Joyce Country anytime!
