Who We Are?

Our Purpose

With a vision for long-term impact, Lough Nafooey and Joyce Country Cultural Festival is a voluntary non-profit organisation that plays a role in the sustainability and well-being of our rural community. Advocating for sustainable regional development and engaging domestic and international audiences.

Our annual participative cultural festival, Baa Fleadh, taking place on the May Bank holiday weekend, aims to become a premier cultural event rooted in community that amplifies the voices of local talent. It’s more than a festival – it’s a movement to preserve and promote the region’s unique identity.

Baa Fleadh takes place around Lough NaFooey and the local valleys, in the heart of Joyce Country, all within the Joyce Country & Western Lakes Geopark in the West of Ireland – promoting the region as a natural inland Wild Atlantic Way destination.
